We began the project by meeting with independent fisherman in Arcachon, France, and Boca la Caja, Panama, following them out to sea and filming them working. Then, after nightfall, we created video installations for their families in the places where they live, to share what happens out on the water and on the other side of the ocean.

We were later invited to the Museum of Biodiversity (Biomuseo) in Panama City to share the fishermen’s perspectives with institutions and politicians, and show them what life is like “on the other side of the street”.
